Servant’s Work, Servant’s Feet

SO I was sitting in the park cooling my feet in the coldest river water south of the artic circle, or so it felt. My feet are tired and sore from my new job as a waitress. Three times I dipped them in, and the last time I finally got past 30 seconds before the pain of the cold was unbearable. But they feel so much better now. I can heal from the pain I put myself through in order to pay the rent.
I was also messing around on social media, looking on Reddit, posting to my insta and facebook story, and I came across a recent article that came out today. I was really angered, and most of the time I don’t let the news bother me. But I was concerned about this one. Apparently, the DOJ has given the okay to private and government organizations to require covid vaccinations. To avoid going down the rabbit hole of vaccine opinions, I would just like to make one point, this “vaccine” is not even technically a vaccine yet, it isn’t fully approved by the FDA, only authorized for emergency use. I understand that much of public opinion would probably support this action of the DOJ, but that still doesn’t sway my skepticism. This pain isn’t as easy to heal as that of my feet.
So what are we called to do, as true servants? As a disciple of Christ, I follow His guidance. And we are guided to fully submit like Christ. Even as he submitted himself to the cross, he knew it was in God’s plan. But one thing Jesus didn’t put up with, in fact he did condemn, was hypocrisy, over and over, in the behaviors of the Pharisees.
I guess my point is the DOJ is not fully submitting themselves to the authority of our own protective governmental system of safety, the Food and Drug Administration. How can I trust a government that does not submit to its own laws? I am enraged that the authorities are being so blatantly hypocritical, yet so many are willingly led astray… Where is the public voice of reason? If you have a reasonable opinion, I would like to hear it, and I will amplify it.
